Bean Planting
We bought a mix of dried beans from the grocery store. We sorted the beans and found there to be eight different kinds. We planted two of each. All but three of the beans that sprouted turned into tall bean plants. The leaves are so similar we cannot tell the difference in the varieties.

Easter Bags Decorated at the Westside Homelearners Meet Up
Easter came and went so fast this year. We didn't get to go to the homelearners egg hunt because I was sick that day. But we did have an egg hunt at home and also went to the one at Choices grocery store down the street. It was so crowded. Dagan found 1 egg and Sage didn't find any. Luckily the Easter Bunny came by and gave them some candy so they didn't go home empty handed. We received lots of candy and fun treats from Grandma and Grandma and Grandpa. I'm hoping it will last us till our next candy haul, Halloween.
Artist of the Month: Monet
We studied Monet for the month of March. We read some books from the library and watched a documentary on his life and art. We also watched a painting tutorial on youtube where an artist painted at the waterlily garden in the style of Monet. We discussed impressionism and how Monet liked to paint the light as it changed over the course of the day. Here are some paintings the boys did during the month.
