Weekly Baking Project: Vanilla Butterball Cookies

The little pastry chefs helped make the dough, roll the dough into balls, match the cookies together and pipe the frosting.

Little Whistle Books

We recently found these Little Whistle books at the library. They are about a guinea pig who lives in a toy store and has adventures with toys who come to life at night.

Elephant and Piggie

We love all of the Elephant and Piggie books! They are so funny. The boys delight in having reading marathons and will take turns reading for the different characters. I love that they will read these to each other, by themselves and with me.

Spanish Banks Beach Picnic

Israa organized a beach picnic to celebrate the beautiful summer weather. The boys had fun collecting large sticks, digging in the sand and eating lots of jello.  It was so nice to relax, watch the sunset and chat with friends.

Seattle Seafair and Museum of Flight

Seattle Seafair

Museum of Flight with Uncle Matt

 Blue Angels

It was our first time driving across the border to Seattle. We stayed with Uncle Kevin, Aunt Jen, Cindy and Baby Ellie. We went to the Seafair and saw the Blue Angels perform acrobatic plane maneuvers. We watched the hydro boat races, ate ice cream and bounced in the bouncy house and obstacle course. The next day we visited the Museum of Flight and got to watch the Blue Angels take off and land right outside. We got to see many planes, helicopters and military vehicles up close both inside and outside the museum.
