Since reading the Captain Underpants series and other books by Dav Pilkey, the boys have had less respect for authority and a greater use of potty language. This has influenced me to research books with good morals. The boys have taken to these new- old books and have me reading them over and and over. The Captain Underpants books have been returned to the library and were soon forgotten. These are some books I borrowed lately that I remember being read to as a child. They are timeless and instill good messages such as the value of friendship, being yourself and working together.
