Renton, Washington and Family

Life has been so full of change lately. After four years in Vancouver, we said goodbye in the hope of finding something better. Moving meant weeks of cleaning, packing, border crossing formalities, pet relocation logistics, a Uhaul that changed pick up location, time and size and realizing we had more stuff than we thought. August said goodbye to his job and maybe even his industry. We said goodbye to our homelearner friends and swim/ soccer friends.

We are so glad that my brother and his family welcomed us into their new home. He even caught the shuttle bus to Vancouver to help us with the move. August's friend Jeremy also helped us. We couldn't have done it without them.

My parents came to visit from Hawaii, we had lunch with my cousin Kevin and his family and even August's brother and his wife stopped by unexpectedly.

We hope to be moving on soon to a new job, a new city, and new adventures. But we are taking this month to rest and recharge, prepare and plan, and to be grateful for all the love and support from the wonderful people around us.
