- Read lots of Anansi books
- Learned about diamonds and diamond mining
- Listened to music from Angola
- Observed patterns in African art
- Baked Melk Tert (Milk Tart)
-Visited Touch of Africa Store and talked to shopkeeper, bought trinkets
- Made African Masks
- Tasted African Spicy Peanut Chickpea Stew but didn't like it
