Rice Rangoli
Sage and I had a fun time at the Diwali Festival at the Roundhouse Community Centre. We painted diyas which are little clay candle holders. We watched some Indian musicians and dancers, wandered past many vendors selling clothes and jewelry. Smelled the yummy foods but didn't try any. And made a colorful mandala out of rice, rangoli, which is usually displayed outside the homes of the Indian people on Diwali.
