Japanese and Leaves Bulletin Board
We studied Japan this month. Some of the things we did were...

- Ate at a Japanese restaurant
- Baked green tea cookies, mochi, matcha kasutera cake, dorayaki (azuki bean filled pancakes)
- Played Kendama which Grandma and Grandpa got for us from Japan
- Looked at our Japanese family crest
-Watched videos on Samurai and  Japanese sword making
- Learned some basic Japanese words
- Folded origami penguin, shark, ladybug, and star box
-Made paper fans
-Looked at Japanese wood block prints
-Discussed crops grown in Japan and watched video on green house strawberry growing
-Learned about shinkansen trains, watched videos
-Listened to both modern and traditional Japanese music
-Minecraft- made Japanese temples, houses, flag, rice paddies, strawberry fields, samurai, sword forge and shinkansen train and station
